South central Virginia is the area near central Virginia and the south border of
Virginia about half-way between
the ocean

It's about one hour from either Richmond or Lynchburg, Va.
It's the low-crime area of south Virginia. It's "small-town America". Some towns don't
even have stoplights
or parking meters.
The area has good schools, colleges and medical facilities. It has a mild
climate with a
7-month growing
season. It's good horse country with 3 cuttings of hay each year. There are no floods or
earthquakes and only one hurricane in 50 years. It has many lakes and state
parks. South Virginia land
provides secluded retreats and hide-a-ways with privacy. South Virginia
and central Virginia are great for
hunting, fishing, recreation, retirement or raising a family in the country with
fresh air and clean water. It's also
good for investment
because the taxes are very low -- typically only $500 to $600 per year on a
property
assessed at $100,000.
Taxes on 10 acres of farm land or hunting land might be as low as $50 per year. And,
some owners provide owner finance. South central Virginia farms, homes and
land are good buys.
