Charlotte County has a population of around 12,000. Keysville is the largest town in the county with about 700 people. There are no stoplights in this county, but the major shopping center just North of us is big enough to have a few. That’s Farmville in Prince Edward County. Farmville has about 7,000 population and the county around it over 17,800. In addition, Longwood College brings in about 4,500 students and Hampden-Sydney another 900 to 1,000. We can do most of our daily shopping in Charlotte County, but Farmville is the hub for everybody within 30 miles. It has over 200 businesses including a 24-hour Wal-Mart SuperCenter and many restaurants and motels. |
