with a guest house and outbuildings.  It is safely
situated in the country with its own 120-acre
protective buffer surrounding it to provide privacy. 
It's about 3.5 hours from Washington, DC and a
little over an hour from Richmond, VA.

The main house has 3400 square feet of living
space on the first and second floors plus about
1500 additional square feet of semi-finished space
in the basement.  It contains four bedrooms and
two full baths plus an extra half-bath. The guest
house has two bedrooms and two baths in slightly
less than 1000 square feet of space.

There's a nice level of seclusion, yet small town
shops, banks, and gas stations are within 7 miles. 
When you're on this estate, the nearest public
road is about half a mile away.  You can't see
that road and nobody on that road can see you.

The main house is distinguished by its California
style open architecture which provides easy
access to all areas on the first floor.  It's great
for entertaining small groups.  The second floor
is strictly private.  It contains only the master
bedroom suite with a luxurious bathroom.

When entering the main house from the attached
two-car garage, there is a large room that can be
used as either an office with an outside entrance
or as the 4th bedroom.  There is also a separate
garage large enough to provide space for a
workshop as well as another vehicle.

The open design of the first floor facilitates casual
entertaining.  Guests can circulate through the
living room, dining room and family room.  The
chef can participate in the visitors' conversations
because the kitchen is located in the middle of
the circuit.
