This property is only 3 miles from the John H. Kerr Dam
& Reservoir (also known as Buggs Island Lake) in South
Central Virginia. That's a 50,000-acre lake with 800
miles of shoreline. It's a major recreation center for
Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina. They
hold big bass fishing tournaments with large prizes.
The Staunton River State Park and the Occoneechee
State Park are right on the edge of the lake.
All together, there are 30 recreation areas around this
lake. There are campsites with electric and water
hookups, swim beaches, picnic areas, hiking trails,
nature trails and marinas. More lake information at:
434-738-6633 x 275 or

Obviously, it's a big place for all kinds of water sports.
Many Virginians trailer their boats 40 or 50 miles
to get a day on the lake. That's why someone living
here could probably make extra income by renting
space to people to store their boats -- at least for
the summer months.
The present owner owns about 22 acres behind
this 2.23-acre parcel. He plans to move his vast
collection of vehicles, tractors, and boats to the
back side of his property. He will build a house
and some large storage sheds back there, a long
way out-of-sight from this property in the front.
