Narrative Description:
This is a great get-away for someone working
in Southern Virginia (Farmville, South Boston,
or Halifax). It would even suit a person willing
to commute 70 miles on a 4-lane divided highway
to Richmond, VA. (As it approaches Richmond,
the highway is known as Hull Street Road.)
There is a small creek running through this property
and that creek is still running even though we are in
a 9-month drought. It's only a little creek ("step over"
type), but it seems to have a good strong flow.
This property is quite hilly with a great place for a
homesite on top of the hill where the present house
is located. Of course, the present house is considered
to be of no value.
The owner has had a perc site staked out near the
house, but there is no bathroom in the house.
However, there is electricity to it and there is a well
in the front yard.
Most of the 6 acres is wooded with a mixture of
hardwoods and pines. The creek is at the back
edge of the property. It's out of sight from the
house.
